Jim Mullen Burns Quartet / Mario Caribe solo

Islay favourite, Mario Caribe opens the show with a short solo set filmed in the Manager's office at Lagavulin Distillery.

Arguably the finest jazz guitarist the UK has ever produced, “mellow, soulful guitar and legendary fluency” (Observer), gets into a groove with his take on the songs of Robert Burns. From “Banks and Braes” to "My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose", expect hard swinging melodic, blues drenched modern jazz, and plenty fireworks as his is joined by David Milligan (piano), Mario Caribe (bass) and Max Popp (drums).
